Safety Data Sheets
FSPA offers SDS (Safety Data Sheets) to all members free of charge ($500 value!). FSPA has partnered with INFOTRAC to provide members a professional emergency response company to meet the DOT requirements. INFOTRAC is endorsed as one of the emergency response providers by the DOT. INFOTRAC has the protocol in place to manage incidents involving spills and medical emergencies involving hazardous materials.

FSPA has negotiated special rates with AsktheSeal.com on criminal background checks as well as a special set up rate ($99, rather than the usual $1,000) for their Seal of Security and Confidence program.
Although the owner will see all background check results that the law allows, TheSeal looks for convictions only for a defined list of violent and theft-related crimes when issuing their Seal of Security and Confidence. There is also a 7 year forgiveness policy.
TheSeal.com’s specialty is blue collar service companies and is very easy to use and does not require an HR department to manage.

Dependents of FSPA member company owners and employees (2+yrs) can apply for scholarships This program helps members meet the high cost of college expenses for their children. The award is presented by the Swimming Pool Education & Safety Foundation.

Insurance by Ken Brown (IBKB)
The Florida Swimming Pool Association endorsed insurance program, Insurance by Ken Brown (IBKB), provides competitive premiums, knowledgeable underwriting, and cash dividend payments for good performance.
Through Insurance by Ken Brown, Members are eligible for insurance programs designed specifically for the pool and spa industry. These programs include property and casualty, auto, hazardous materials coverage, employee dishonesty, workers compensation and “pool popping.”
As a member, your company has access to a group program that provides cash dividends back to its participants (if there is a profit in the program) at the end of each fiscal year.
Debt Collection
FSPA works with TSI (Transworld Debt Collection) to help make sure our members are collecting payment on past-due accounts. Transworld’s recovery average is 56% at an average cost of 7 cents per dollar.
Arbitration
FSPA offers an alternative dispute resolution that may be handled through binding arbitration. Use this program for rapid and inexpensive resolution of consumer disputes. A sample arbitration provision is available for members’ reference to include in contracts. Awards are binding on both parties and enforceable in court. Members save $1,500 on the arbitration filing fee.
